Project Management
Many people like the thought of building their own home. However, often they have limited time and insufficient knowledge of the building industry.
This is when a project manager becomes invaluable. He has the time to research on your behalf and the contacts and knowledge required making the process of building your own home a realistic goal. This puts you in control of building your own home; you can make changes as you go along without the dreaded "Builders extras" to worry about. The project manager will liaise with building control, suppliers, architects, environmental heritage (discharge of effluent, percolation tests) renewable energy consultants. All in all you can have as much or as little input into the project as you want.

Go Green
With rising energy costs well insulated homes are more important than ever. AP contracts believes that insulation and how it’s installed, is one of the most important aspects of the build. No matter what heat source you use it is only if your building is properly insulated that you reap the full benefit.

Another important aspect is air tightness. With air tight homes the need for proper ventilation is very important or damp problems can occur. Traditional ventilation (trickle vents, bathroom extractor fans) causes a large amount of heat loss.
This is where a heat recovery system can be a valuable asset. It changes the air in the property without the heat loss trickle vents and extractor fans cause.

Sewage Treatment plants
The old septic tank is quickly becoming a thing of the past we have the experience of installing and commissioning of pressurised air and motorised disc treatment plants. This is a low impact to the environment form of sewage treatment

This is a valuable attribute to any building. In past projects the toilets are flushed and gardens watered all from the rain water harvesting system.
